The goal is to introduce ESL and FL educators and learners to an alternative
approach to language teaching and learning by exploring art
as a springboard for language development and enrichment. For
this purpose, LangArt offers language courses for ESL and foreign language learners and professional development workshops,
seminars, and institutes designed to meet the specific needs
of different educational institutions including, among others,
schools, museums, community- sponsored programs, and colleges.
Through this approach, students are encouraged to practice and
improve language skills as they simultaneously learn about art.
Integrating art in ESL and FL classes enables the students to
combine the four basic skills, i.e., listening, speaking, reading
and writing, in a contextualized and communicative way.
